It's finally cold in Austin!

December 29, 2015

It was almost 80 degrees on Christmas day and it's finally getting colder in Austin. A little too cold! After living in New York for 8 years, you would think that I would be use to the cold. Nope! 2 years here in the South and I'm spoiled rotten! Anything below 70s is prettyyyy cold to me! :)

It's a Baby Girl!

December 17, 2015

I think everyone that's seen me, known me, or encountered me during my pregnancy have immediately, without any doubt, said it was a BOY. Everyone except one of my best girlfriends and my mother in law have guessed it's a baby girl!

Sure enough, they're right! We're having a baby girl and we can't be more excited! Now to think of her name that will define her ...

The bump is growing!

December 15, 2015

Most days when I'm getting ready in the morning, I'd look in the mirror and I just immediately think, "this is so weird!" Every pregnancy is different for every person. I've had girlfriends that share how connected they are with their baby right away and others that needed more time to connect with their little lovey after they were born.

The one thing I hope I can accomplish is to be the best parent I can be and raise a loving and kind human being. I would hope for my baby to have respect and manners above all. He/she does not have to go to the best school, get all A's in their classes, or be the star of their sports team but I pray they will always have respect, manners and kindness towards their friends, family and peers throughout their life.

December in Texas

December 13, 2015

Some days it's cold and rainy and other days it's almost 80 degrees! How can anyone "put away" their clothes with this kind of changing weather?

That's okay, though! I'm not complaining. I'll take the sunshine days over the cold ones!

Balancing work and life!

December 09, 2015

There's so much to juggle in life. My small business is growing and changing every day. My body and my baby are growing and changing every day. Our Mini Australian Shepherds, Maddie and Macaron, require a lot of exercise. Andddd we're figuring out all the things we'll need for our nursery and preparing for our adorable baby's arrival in early May!

As I get myself settled into all the new changes, I think the one thing that always keeps me grounded and balance is being conscious of being present of what I'm doing and where I am. It's so important to be able to live in the moment and give it your best no matter what you're doing.

Sometimes, it can get overwhelming with the never-ending to-do list and I wouldn't even know where to begin to tackle it. The truth is, we should be happy there is even a to-do list! I might not get it alllllll done tomorrow, but knowing I did my best each day is what counts!

My 30th Birthday!

December 02, 2015

This year's birthday was relatively low-key. It was my 30th birthday and I had a great family dinner during the weekend. On my actual birthday (December 1st), my Kyle took me to a delicious Japanese restaurant (sadly, I couldn't indulge in sushi) and bought me my favorite cake! Yum!

On December 2nd, we found out the gender of our adorable baby! We'll be sharing that very soon. :)

I'll wear it until I can't!

November 25, 2015

I would say from 12 weeks to 20 weeks the growing period is very odd. By now, I can't fit in any of my jeans and sweat pants are my best friends. I'm stretching all my regular tops until I really can't fit in them comfortably.

Luckily, I've always enjoyed wearing loser-fitted clothing, so this works out in my favor. I do love a fitted dress with the pregnancy though because this is the only time we can actually let our belly hang out ladies! Own it and enjoy it!

Thankful for so much.

November 20, 2015

Kyle and I have been in Austin for a little over 2 years now. My sister and her family moved here first and we decided to follow suit after leaving New York City to Northern California for a year.

We love the beauty and all the opportunities Nor Cal had to offer, but it just wasn't quite home. Austin is growing by the second, had a lot of outdoor activities and was slowly to look like a mini-Brooklyn! We decided to move in September of 2013 and I'm lucky to be close to all my family again! I soft-launched A Little Bundle in Nor Cal and a month later moved to Austin, TX! We've been happy here ever since and purchased a house before the real estate market skyrocket!

My mom also moved to Austin, Texas recently and it's such a treat for my sister and me! It's the first time in almost 15 years that my sister, my mom and I lived in the same city. I'm so excited for our kids to grow up together the way my sister and I grew up with our cousins.

Ha! The last 3 months have been a constant "no" and excuses for all social invitations. Finally at Week 15, I was ready to be myself again. I was able to finally go out for lunch and dinner and not feel like I might vomit every 10 minutes!

On the weekends, one of the many things I love is bringing (lots of) plants home. It doesn't mean I can keep all of them alive, but I simply LOVE having plants around me at all times.

Maybe it was the year that I lived in Honolulu, HI or the idea of having beautiful luscious greenery around my living space  - but I am always restocking my plants. haha!

Finally, Bye-Bye Morning Sickness!

October 28, 2015

At week 13, I was FINALLY feeling more and more like myself. I could feel my energy level coming back and thankfully my morning sickness was slowly subsiding.

I started feeling much better and wanted to share more of how I dress my bump! It's such a struggle to find style and clothing to fit while your body is transforming during your pregnancy.

I went to Storq, Zara, ASOS and Madewell to find the stretchiest comfiest skirts for my growing belly. I love the tight feeling around the hips and stomach because week 13 is such an awkward stage. You don't look pregnant, but you're kind of showing. Some people may just assume you've gained some weight! (That's bound to happen...)

Surprise! I'm pregnant!

October 22, 2015

WOW.

What a crazy past three months! My husband, Kyle and I were surprised with the incredibly amazing (and terrifying) news after our trip from Scandanavia that we were expecting our first human baby! (I'm already a fur-mommy to two precious Mini Australian Shepherds, Maddie and Macaron.)

Kyle and I eloped in Kauai, Hawaii on May 5th, 2015, and were excited to continue our journey together in Austin, Texas with Maddie and Macaron. Our due date, coincidentally enough, is also May 5th, 2016! It's funny how fast things unfold and I've learned to take things slower (which is incredibly hard for me to do) and learn how to ride the waves.

Well, this new adventure sure has me on my toes. My first trimester was not an easy journey. I had intense morning sickness and was tired allllllll the time. I admire all the amazing women that have experienced their journey through pregnancy and manage to "do it all" all the while creating a human being in their belly!

I'm happy to share that the morning sickness seems to have slowly subsided as I entered my Second Trimester. I couldn't be more excited to share this intimate journey with you, and hope you'll stay for the ride!

Thankful for every small step! Thank you for your love + support!

Keeping the secret!

October 16, 2015

It was relatively hard to keep this secret from my closest friends. And the only reason why is because I'm such a big wine drinker (I never turn down a glass of wine) and the minute my friends realize I'm not drinking - welp! there's a huge hint! Funny enough, the entire 12 weeks that we were waiting to share the news, we had several friends visit us from New York and California.

Why not just tell the world? Some people absolutely do and they should! To each their own, right? For me, I wanted to see and hear my baby's heartbeat at 8 weeks before telling even our closest family and friends. From 8 weeks to 12 weeks, I was open about who I shared it with as long as I saw them in person!

It wasn't until 12 weeks that we publicly shared it with our friends and family via email and then social media. :)
